An agro-processor cut energy costs 44% and added a night shift after switching from diesel to solar.

The challenge

The mill ran entirely on diesel. Fuel was its largest cost after raw rice, and outages during processing meant spoiled batches and idle staff.

What we built

A 250kW solar array with storage, engineered around the mill's motor loads and processing schedule, with the grid and gensets as backup.

The results

  • Processing energy cost down 44%
  • Reliable power to run a night shift
  • Diesel now a rare backup, not a daily expense

Fuel used to be our second-biggest cost. Now the mill runs on solar by day and we've added a shift.
